At last! Thanks to Zak McKracken we finally can host a "clean" copy of the most innovative racing game of the early 90s, and just one of the best racing games ever made.
When first released, Stunts needed a very powerful machine to run, due to its heavy 3D engine. Graphics were unbelievable for that time! Sounds were good too: Stunts has good Sound Blaster support, with decent sound effects when you're racing.
You have a whole bunch of cars to choose from, complete with their unique statistics, from a small Lancia Delta to a powerful Porsche March Indy car. There're five opponents to choose from, with different skills and personalities too.
One of the most fantastic features of this game is the built-in track builder. You can design your own tracks with dozens of options, tricks and possiblities. That tool is awesome! It's so easy you can't afford not to try.
It's ultimately a racing simulation game. You can't run in a championship, only head-to-head against one of the five opponents, or against the clock. But then again, sites like Zak McKracken's Stunts site run offline world competitions that are worthy of attention, so there's never enough challenge here.
And that shows how infinitely replayable Stunts is: even today people play it, always looking for a new challenge, a better track, a harder opponent. It's limitless. See for yourself.
