Another nearly impeccable game from Sid Meier, another huge classic using the same mechanics and engine found in Civilization.
This time, you're named a Viceroy from one of four major powers in Europe and are entitled explore, colonize and bring riches from new world in the end of the 15th century. And like in other Sid Meier games, that's going to be extremely challenging and fun.
This game is less focused on the development tree, compared to Civilization, Master of magic and Master of Orion. Instead it is focused on trading, exploration and diplomacy. However, once again there's a lot to see and do, and the game will keep you addicted to it forever. As most other Sid Meier games, there are no flaws, all you have to do is find the right one for you, and then you'll always have it on your hard drive.
No wonder this game was a huge hit back in the days. Even today, it is surprisingly fun and never got dated. Download it if you don't have it already!
