When a user asked for this game a few days ago, I couldn't remember if this was a good game or not, so after I found it for him, I decided to try it myself. God, is this addictive.
Don't let the simple graphics scare you away: after you start playing JezzBall, you won't be able to stop. You just won't!
Ironically, after conceiving a very addictive old-school arcade-puzzle -- insanely simple, addictive and repetitive -- they even created a "plot" that's actually more interesting than many hits we have nowadays. "On a far-off world, a new kind of atom has been discovered. It's called a Jezz, and you get paid galactic credits each time you trap one for shipment back to Earth. The Jezz atoms preserve their energy best when tightly confined, so the smaller the chamber you trap them in, the more galactic credits you acquire." How does this sound? The game itself hardly suggests that you're trapping "atoms" that "preserve their energy best when tightly confined", but they did bother to create such a story. Isn't that wonderful?
The point of this game is to trap the jezz-balls on the tightest chamber possible. In order to do that, you build walls with your mouse, but you can't let the ball touch the wall you're building until it's complete. And when there are too many bouncing balls you'll see that's going to be tricky.
Our thanks go to user Travis for bringing this classic back to our attention. There're many remakes of this game out there, but the real one is actually hard to find -- well, *was* hard to find, until now.
