This charming little adventure has a clichéd plot but also a great amount of humor and some interesting puzzles.
In the beginning perhaps you'll feel stupid for playing what seems to be a game for children what with all the fairy-tale tone of the story and "fantasyesque" characters (a great deal of more-of-the-same wizards and such). Over time however, you start to find many of the situations and conversations quite funny, and that ultimately adds to the overall fun factor of this game. Malcolm, the main antagonist, is very original, to say the least. Many of the rest of the people you'll find around the game seem too obvious in the beginning, but then you see the dialogs are at times crazy and well worthy.
Gameplay is quite simple, point and click, drag items to your inventory and back out. If I remember well, you'll sometimes pick choices in dialogs, but it doesn't matter much. There *are* some ways to die in the game though, even if only by doing something terribly stupid. So you may want to save often, since moving around in this game takes some time.
Overall it's a fun little game, which will keep you longer than you expect to start with.
