Here's another humorous creation for the adventure genre. Among its qualities, it features a lot of interactivity, nice graphics and music, and a fairly unique plot.
Different from most games, here you play a different kind of hero, since you're technically a criminal. Your name is Jack Ladd, and you're an extraplanetary... thief. That's right, the setting is futuristic, and slightly resembles Union City from the cult-classic Beneath a steel sky. So, Jack supposedly got in heavy trouble with the authorities, something regarding taxes or something, and now he has a month to gather a small fortune and pay the fine.
The funny conversations and situations in which Jack is placed add much to the gaming experience. They're an important part of the fun factor really. In most details, IUC is not amazingly innovative, but the unique plot and well developed atmosphere (a mix of light humor and light science fiction) promise a lot of fun.
Although not exactly pretending to be another blockbuster, Innocent is technically convincing and well-finished. Very good graphics make up for the atmosphere of most locations. Sounds are simple but effective. The interface is one of my favorite features: it not only has an intuitive system of buttons, but if you don't know what something is on the screen, you can look at it with a special lens that zooms into objects and gives you their names, further avoiding annoying pixel hunting, so common in adventure games.
Even if not the best adventure ever designed, I can't think of any flaws on Innocent until caught. You can safely give it a try!
